Meet our tutors

Ruby (Lead tutor & Founder of BrightSTEM Tutoring) 

I’m a science teacher specialising in Biology, with a PGCE, a PGCert in Biodiversity & Ecosystem Health, and a BSc Zoology. I have six years experience in teaching and tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. I also work as an OCR examiner, which gives me valuable insight into how students are assessed and what examiners are really looking for.

I’m passionate about helping students not only improve their grades, but also build confidence and strong foundations in science and maths. Having supported hundreds of students with different abilities and goals, I now lead BrightSTEM Tutoring to ensure students are matched with knowledgeable, supportive tutors and receive high-quality, reliable tuition they can trust.

Megan

I completed my BSc in Marine Biology before training as a teacher and earning my PGDE. While I specialise in Biology, I also teach GCSE Chemistry and Physics and enjoy supporting students across all three sciences. Now in my fifth year of teaching, I’m passionate about helping learners grow in confidence and truly understand the topics they once found challenging. Outside of teaching, I love hiking, hill walking, camping, and birdwatching — anything that gets me outdoors.

Fun fact: I once spent a month in Greece studying the breeding and nesting habits of loggerhead turtles!
